Dermaplaning

Uncover your smooth, bright appearance.

Dermaplaning gently exfoliates the top layer of skin with a painless blade-like instrument to reveal soft-to-the-touch skin. Say goodbye to uneven skin tones with Dermaplaning and say hello to rejuvenated, youthful skin. You will also find that when applying your skincare products, the product penetrates into your skin more effectively once it has been manually exfoliated. This is a perfect all around treatment for most skin types.

About the treatment

Dermaplaning is a manual skin resurfacing treatment that takes exfoliation to a whole new level. This safe resurfacing treatment is recommended for those with sensitive, rough, uneven, or dry skin. Dermaplaning gently exfoliates the top layer of skin with a painless blade-like instrument to reveal soft-to-the-touch skin. Say goodbye to uneven skin tones with Dermaplaning and say hello to rejuvenated, youthful skin.

The treatment owes its success to the gentle use of a blade. Once the blade glides across the surface, it pulls any back dead skin and hair, revealing a smooth surface. You skin get amazing touch and vibrant look. It’s also used to remove “peach fuzz,” the short, soft hairs on your face.

The procedure

During a dermaplaning procedure, you shouldn’t feel any pain. You may feel a tingling sensation during the treatment.

It’s best to avoid exfoliating your skin 3 days before. You should also try to avoid direct sunlight or tanning. You don’t need to plan any downtime to recover from a dermaplaning treatment. You may experience redness or feel like your skin is scraped in the two or three days right after the procedure.  Experts recommend using a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 and a moisturizer afterward. That’s because your skin may be more sensitive.

You can do dermaplaning every 3 to 4 weeks.

Simply put

The basic concept of dermaplaning is the same as shaving. By aiming a sterile blade at a 45-degree angle and dragging it slowly across your skin, you remove dead cells, and other debris that may be making your skin’s surface look uneven. Your skin is exposed daily to environmental toxins, irritants, and sun damage. Dermaplaning clears away those damaged skin cells so newer skin cells are what you see when you look in the mirror.
